Valle de los Vientos

SOWITEC set a milestone with the successful development of the first wind park on national land (bienes nacionales). The project Valle de los Vientos counts with a 25-year land lease agreement close to Calama in the northern desert of Chile. The 90 MW wind farm was sold to Enel Green Power and is still operated by the Italian utility. When starting operation in 2013 Valle de los Vientos was Chile's biggest wind farm.
