The wind farm Creussen was developed by SOWITEC and begann operation in 2004. Creussen II is an extension to this project adding two Nordex N114 windturbines to the already existing three NEG Micon NM82 bringing the total capacity to 10.3 MW.

Creussen III

The wind farm Creußen was developed by SOWITEC and begann operation in 2004. Creußen II is an extension to this project adding two Nordex N114 wind turbines to the already existing three NEG Micon NM82 bringing the total capacity to 10.3 MW. Creußen III is a repowering project. Creußen I shall be replaced by 2x Vestas V172-7.2 MW at hub height 175 m.

Die fünf Windenergieanlagen des Typen Vestas V150-4.2 MW, mit einer Nabenhöhe von 123 m und einer Gesamthöhe von 200 m werden im Waldgebiet zwischen Sonnenbühl-Undingen und Engstingen errichtet. Mit überdurchschnittlicher Windgeschwindigkeit, großen Abständen zu den umliegenden Gemeinden und minimalen Auswirkungen auf Natur und Umwelt ist der Standort ausgezeichnet für die Nutzung der Windenergie geeignet. Der Windpark wird genügend Strom produzieren, um über 13.500 Haushalte zu versorgen. Das sind mehr als in den umliegenden Gemeinden Sonnenbühl, Engstingen und Lichtenstein zusammen.
